Sooner or later, each of us—or someone we love—may have to decide whether to join a trial. Some of us will even weigh that choice more than once.

The decision is deeply personal, yet it’s far easier when the study is built around the participant’s needs. Knowing that patients, who have gone before us, have helped shape the protocol and even the endpoints turns a daunting decision into a confident step forward.
